Loxwood Cricket Club competes in Div II of the Village Cricket League.
Enjoy a relaxing afternoon watching a home fixture from the comfort of our pavilion.
The team comprises players of a wide range of age and ability. There is a core of great players, but on a Sunday afternoon the guiding principle is that everyone gets to participate either with bat or ball if not both. There is an excellent balance of competitiveness and fun.
We are always looking for new players of all ages, please give us a call. The cricket squad contains a number of keen golfers, squash players, darts players, rugger chaps, footballers, would be millionaires etc. so joining in is a great way to meet new people with a wide variety of interests.
We run winter nets from early March to mid April in preparation for a season that starts the last weekend of April.
We usually have a tour over the first weekend of August and events such as a President’s match and an end of season dinner.
We run a Colts section which is open to boys and girls aged 9-15. This comprises training and coaching sessions on a Friday evening from late April until the end of July, plus a good number of matches against other local sides, mostly played on a Tuesday evening.
For younger boys and girls, aged 5-8, we are proud to be a part of the ECB All Stars initiative. This programme consists of 8 weekly sessions each Saturday morning starting on 16th May.
